Publishing in the Middle of a Storm (Literally)

Because Even the Weather’s Complicated Today

It’s raining here—like, “dramatic movie scene” raining. Thunder rolling, sky the color of old bruises, that kind of day where you either:

  • stay in bed,

  • or… get stubborn and tackle the to-do list anyway.

I went with the second option.

Oh, and in the middle of all this? My proofs arrived. Of course, I caught a few things that needed tweaking (because that’s how it always goes), fixed them, and ordered a fresh set. So yes, round two is already on the way.

And while the storms rolled through Homer Glen this morning, I finally finished the last piece of publishing chaos:

📚 Both books are now fully live—on Kindle and everywhere else.

It meant doing the indie author two-step:
✅ Uploading once for Apple, Kobo, B&N, and libraries
✅ Then uploading again just for Amazon Kindle, because of course it can’t be simple

But it’s done. It’s out there. Rain or not, you can grab them now:

So while the storms rage outside, I’m just taking a breath and calling this a win.

Next week I’ll have something lighter (maybe even funnier). But today? Today it’s about small victories.

Stay dry out there.

Listening to the rain and feeling stubbornly accomplished

P.S. If you like your satire sharper—and aimed at everything from the current administration to Substack itself—I’ve been posting daily Notes over there. It’s a very different vibe, but you can peek here: annalouisebellettierekuyper.substack.com

P.P.S. If you’re on Smashwords, both books are also part of their July sale—50% off until July 31 with code SSW50.

And now, as I hit send on this, I’m heading back into the shadows of In The Devil’s Wake.
